Full Numerical Estimation of Neutrino Mixing Parameters from Solar Neutrino Data

چکیده
We have numerically computed survival probabilities of solar neutrinos interacting with matter via MSW mechanism in the full three generation formalism with ∆m23 = 2.2 × 10−3 eV. For θ13 ∼ 30◦, we confirm the two regions found in the two generation case, (1) with the most likelyhood, small sin(2θ12) ∼ 0.006, (2) with less likelyhood, large sin(2θ12) ∼ 0.5. For θ13 ∼ 30◦, we find an additional region, (3) with even less likelyhood, 10−5 < ∆m12 < 10 −4 eV and/or 10−4 < sin(2θ12) < 0.5. Assuming that the case (1) is valid, we predict that θ13 ' 15◦.

Constraints on Neutrino Mixing Parameters with the SNO data
This paper reviews the constraints imposed on the solar neutrino mixing parameters by data collected by the Sudbury Neutrino Observatory (SNO). The SNO multivariate analysis is reviewed. The global solar neutrino analysis is emphasized in terms of matter-enhanced oscillation of two active flavors. An outline of how SNO uses the data to produce oscillation contour plots and how to include the re...
متن کاملOn the Status of Three-neutrino Mixing
All existing solar and atmospheric neutrino oscillation data are described by the standard two-neutrino formulas with neutrino mass squared differences that satisfy the hierarchy relation ∆m2sol ≪ ∆m 2 atm. We discuss this phenomenon from the point of view of three-neutrino mixing. Possibilities to see effects of three-neutrino mixing and, in particular, effects of CP-violation in the lepton se...
متن کاملFrom a Three - Neutrino Oscillation Analysis of the Chooz Data
Results of a new analysis of the CHOOZ data, performed in the framework of three-neutrino mixing, are presented. Both the cases of normal and inverted neutrino mass hierarchy are considered. The parameters characterizing the solar neutrino oscillations, ∆m 2 ⊙ and tan 2 θ ⊙ , are assumed to lie in the region of the large mixing angle (LMA) MSW solution of the solar neutrino problem, which is fa...
متن کاملDetermination of Solar Neutrino Oscillation Parameters using 1496 Days of Super-Kamiokande-I Data
A number of different fits to solar neutrino mixing and mass square difference were performed using 1496 days of Super-Kamiokande-I’s solar neutrino data. These data select two allowed areas at large neutrino mixing when combined with either the solar B flux prediction of the standard solar model or the SNO interaction rate measurements. A global fit combining SK data with the solar neutrino in...
متن کاملSolar neutrinos
Within the last decade solar neutrino physics has evolved into a field of relevance not only for probing our understanding of stellar physics, but also for investigating and pinpointing intrinsic neutrino properties, most importantly neutrino masses and mixing angles. To date, results from six different and partly complementary experiments have been acquired. Taken together, these experimental ...
